artYsPaceS is Hamilton MAS’ Young Persons’ Programme, which is dedicated to helping and inspiring young people with physical and emotional life challenges to live their best creative life.
The programme offers guided and supported studio sessions, ‘one to ones’ and small groupwork to young people living with long-term mental health conditions, complex access and inclusion needs.
artYsPaceS ethos is one of collaboration, encouragement, and co-production where the young people’s personal and creative practice is at the centre of our work.
We also offer the Arts Award qualification at all levels (www.artsaward.org.uk) to the young people working with us, at Hamilton MAS. Bryony Graham, Founder/Director of Hamilton MAS is a fully trained Arts Award Adviser for Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
Young people come to artYsPaceS as self-referrals, as well as through Suffolk Children and Young People’s Services.
artYsPaceS runs a ten-week summer programme of Open Studio Drop InSessions for all young people working with us – operating as an experimental art club. artYsPaceS have received funding from the Arts Council England, Felixstowe Town Council, The Rope Trust, and Suffolk Libraries BLOC programme.
